After a very successful and exciting week in Tokyo
to transition into the new city and school, I again made the most of a
long weekend, for Independence Day, and headed off the Central
Highlands.
I flew into the town of Buon Me Thot and was there
met by Mr Hung, my pre-arranged Easyrider driver and off we set to see
the local sites. Three days later, he dropped me at the Dalat airport and what a fabulous way to see the countryside and interact with the local people, it was.
I loved the tranquillity of the waterfalls, Lak Lake, the rolling
hills, the coffee plantations, the cottage industries, and the smiles of the people.
We visited the villages of three ethnic
minority villages; Ede, Mnong and Hmong and it was fascinating to see
the simple and traditional ways of life of these people.

The more I see of this country, the more I am fascinated as it has such variety. There is of course still much more to see, but I certainly feel that I have made the most of my time here and I will be sad to leave.
